Kerri Cole is the project coordinator for the Center of Excellence for Food Safety Research in Child Nutrition Programs. Kerri comes from a background of broad experience that includes teaching family and consumer science classes in rural Kansas schools, serving as a K-State Family and Consumer Science extension agent and working as a research assistant for the Older Adult Food Safety Grant. As a teacher, Kerri ensured that all of her foods related classes completed a section on food safety. As an extension agent, Kerri coordinated and led food safety training for all county 4-H groups to ensure groups were meeting the standards of safe food handling in local food stands. Kerri earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Central Oklahoma.
